Hello, Sabrina! I'm so glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your runDisney question. RunDisney events are a great way to to get motivated, and having a family member to train with makes it twice as fun. Speaking of training, visit the
runDisney website where they have some fantastic playlists that will help you
Go the Distance!
I am so amazed that your 11-year-old Disney Princess wants to run a half marathon! According to
runDisney's Eligibility Policies, participants for Walt Disney World Half Marathon must be 14 years of age or older, so she'll have to wait a few yEARs to make her dreams of running through Cinderella Castle come true. My 11-year-old Prince Charming is looking forward to running the 2020 Disney Princess 5K with me. I realize this may not be enough of a challenge, so I would recommend considering signing up for
Walt Disney World 10K. Even though it is sold out, you can still sign up through
Disney's participating charities and The Walt Disney Travel Company. The course will take you through Epcot's World Showcase and the BoardWalk, and the finish line waits for you just past Spaceship Earth. Your daughter is welcome to cruise along without you, but remind her to stop and get some fun character photos along the way. For me, this is the best part of any runDisney race, and the
PhotoPass Photographers are there bright and early to help capture your magical memories.
Sabrina, get ready, get set, and GO have fun during your run-cation next yEAR!
