Hey, Amanda! Welcome back and thanks for bringing us another great question. The base
Disney Theme Park Tickets will give you access to one theme park each day. With a 5-Day Ticket, you could visit each of the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks on separate days, let the family decide which one is their favorite, and then plan to visit it on your fifth day. Sounds like a win-win for everyone! If you went with a 4-Day Ticket with the Park Hopper Option, then you could hop around to multiple theme parks as you wish. Since this option applies to all of the admissions on the ticket, you could hop on just one day or even all four days! You could even crank up the magic a bit and hop multiple times each day! I personally like to have the option because we enjoy heading to Epcot for dinner multiple times during our trips, especially when our visits coincide with any of their festivals, such as the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.
Amanda, you will definitely need to make a decision: is staying longer and using a 5-Day ticket better for your family, or will visiting fewer days but hopping around with the 4-Day Park Hopper be a better option? Guests are not able to use an extra day's admission from their Theme Park Tickets in place of having the Park Hopper option. When you scan your ticket to enter a theme park, the system will look to see if that is the first time that ticket has been used that day. If it has, you will get the green light. If it comes up in the system as being used earlier that day, then the system will check to see if Park Hopper is added. If it is, green for you! If not, you will not be allowed to enter unless you head over to the ticket window to modify the ticket.
I hope this helps you plan your ticket purchase! Please let us know if you have other questions about your tickets or any other part of your upcoming pixie-dusted adventure.
