Hi Moms! I will be sailing on the Dream with my 12yr old nephew Sept29/17 and was wondering where we could eat that's less busy on embarkation day? I sailed in 2016 on the dream with another adult but this will be my first time bringing my nephew!

Welcome aboard, Siona! What a lucky nephew to have such a special aunt who is taking him on the vacation of a lifetime! He is in for so much magic when he sets sail with you on the Disney Dream! I'm glad you have sailed on the Dream and you're back for more! You now have an idea of how it all works, and you'll be able to guide your nephew through the ship! But, be sure to show him Edge. This is the tween club, where I'm sure he will want to spend some time getting to know the counselors and other kids his age during the amazing activities just for tweens!

When you board the Dream that first day, you've got lots of lunch options! Most guests will head straight to Cabanas which is open until three, and it can get a bit crowded at the peak of boarding time. But, did you know that Enchanted Garden is also open for a buffet lunch that day until 1:30? My family and I prefer to dine there on embarkation day as it doesn't feel quite as hectic, and it's really nice to relax and let the vacation begin! Sometimes, though, my kids want to bring their swimsuits in their day bags so they can change as soon as we board and head straight to the AquaDuck before it gets busy. When we do that, we set up camp somewhere on the pool deck and grab a quick lunch from Fillmore's Favorites, Luigi's Pizza, or Tow Mater's Grill, all of which are open from noon until about 3:30 on embarkation day. Just a reminder, though, that any checked luggage won't arrive in your stateroom until later that afternoon, so if you think a swim is a must once you board, keep your suits with you!

Enjoy this special adventure at sea with your nephew, Siona!
