Hi Moms, I am a bit confused about the Wishes Dessert Party. I was able to get a 6:30 reservation for the party, but the fireworks aren't scheduled for 9:00 that evening. Will we be standing around for 2.5 hours until the fireworks start? Thanks!

    Hi Marie,

The Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party is an absolutely magical experience and I know you'll love it!  I can't think of a better way to end a day at Magic Kingdom than sampling delicious desserts while enjoying a front-row view of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular.

I'm glad you wrote to us to clear up the confusion.  The 6:30 p.m. reservation time you have for your party is basically a placeholder.  For some dates, especially those a few months or more away, the time defaults to around 6:00-6:30 p.m. since the official time for Wishes isn't always known yet.  No matter what time you have reserved, the party generally begins one hour before Wishes is scheduled to begin that night.  That should still be the case when you visit, but I'd recommend watching the Walt Disney World website to confirm the official time of Wishes is still listed as 9:00 p.m. in the coming months and then confirming final details once your vacation is closer by calling Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463).

I hope that helps, Marie, and sending you lots of pixie dust for your vacation planning!  If we can help with anything else, please let us know.

    Have a Disney day!
