Hi Moms/Dads, I was wondering if you could recommend a kid friendly place to dine in Downtown Disney. T-Rex sounds as if it could be rather loud. Someone recommended Raglan Road, but I wasn't sure if this was appropriate for a 6 & 8yr old. Thank you!

    Hello Ysenia,

First of all, you'll have no problem bringing your children into any restaurant at Downtown Disney. They are all well equipped to have kids on hand and all serve many, many children every day. T-Rex and the Rainforest Cafe do have loads of kid appeal, but you are correct, they can be extremely loud. One of my daughters has some sensory processing issues and she becomes easily overwhelmed in these places.

My family, including the children, LOVES Raglan Road. The food is really top notch. The goat cheese salad there is one of my husband's favorite dishes in all of Walt Disney World. Even the bread they bring you at the start of the meal is delicious. They're a Guiness reduction dipping sauce that is out of this world.

During most evenings, Raglan Road hosts an Irish band and/or an Irish step dancing performance. The entertainers are true professionals and will often engage with the diners. The music here can also be a bit loud, but I find it the melodies and rhythms much less intrusive than the random screams of angry dinosaurs. My kids really enjoy watching the dancers and trying to learn their steps.

Depending on what you like to eat, Fulton's Crab House, Portobello, or Paradiso 37 are all good choices for families as well.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
