My mom (67yrs) and I (41yrs) are staying at the WLR 11-12-2012 thru 11-19-2012. We have dinner ressies at other resorts some nights, how do we get back to the wilderness lodge after, because the parks close before our ressie times.

    Michelle,

So you are going to be dining at other resorts, but the easy return trip of busing from that resort to the Magic Kingdom, then boating home to the Wilderness Lodge is out of the question?

There are a few options. The first, and official, way to get home is to take the bus from the resort where you are dining to Downtown Disney. When you arrive there you hop off your bus, and then wait for a bus heading to the Wilderness Lodge. For the most part this is your best bet.

One option is to cab it. While one cab ride is not going to break the bank, it can add up very quickly. My wife and I try never to use more than 1 cab ride a trip, leaving that expense as kind of a "break glass in case of emergency" last resort when time is running short.

A final consideration is based not on when the Magic Kingdom is closing, but when Epcot or Hollywood Studios is closing. If park hours there are later than the Magic Kingdom, you might consider using that as your 'way-station' for bus transfers. Typically this is only a good idea if you are dining in an Epcot area Resort (BoardWalk Inn, Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, the Swan, or the Dolphin). But it might also be a faster alternative if you are going to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, or Coronado Springs.

If you write me back with specific information on the where (what restaurant), and the when (what date, and what dining reservation time),  I can offer specific examples of what I would do.

    Thanks for the question!

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
