Hi Ashley,
Welcome to planDisney, and congratulations on being a Disney Annual Passholder. It is my favorite club to be a member of because there is no place more magical to visit! The best part about being a Disney Annual Passholder is the
discounts associated with that coveted ticket.
The 10% off at several dining locations is a great benefit and adds up throughout a trip. The rules specifically state that the discount is only for the use of Passholders and up to 3 guests during regular dining hours. These offers are subject to change without notice, and certain menu items may not be included. Since you will be dining with your friends, this is a gray area and you might be able to allow them to use your Passholder discount by showing your pass and ID to the cast member who is serving your meal.
In my experience, the cast member will only allow you to apply a discount to one check at the table. When we paid separately for our meals, we had to choose which check to apply the discount to at our table. The cast member will be able to make the final decision as to whether or not your discount can be used since it technically will not be applied directly to your bill. I recommend being super nice to cast members serving you and hoping for the best. If they don't feel comfortable adding the discount for you, I would not push it too much since technically it is not your bill.
If you are looking for some recommendations on where to eat, I have a few favorites! At Magic Kingdom, I never miss a chance to eat at
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. The Mess Hall Fried Rice and secret menu item, Brazilian Cheese Bread, are the best way to relax and fuel up mid-day! For a nice dinner,
Le Cellier Steakhouse in EPCOT is hard to beat. The Signature Poutine and Filet Mignon are a decadent way to wind down at the end of the day.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
