    My mom and I are taking a trip to WDW the first week of June and I wanted information on how I can create a special moment for my mom to thank her for being so awesome. My budget is very small but I want to give her the "world". Please help me ma

    Nichole,

    I took my mom on a trip to Walt Disney World many years ago to thank her for all she has done for me. Here are some thoughts;

    • Don't sweat too much about making it "special". You are going to be at Walt Disney World. That is special.
    • Plan a lunch or dinner that really caters to her tastes. It doesn't have to be the most expensive food in the world to be special. Some of my favorite quick service meals are ones that have ambiance and food that far surpass most table service settings. For example my mom likes international cuisines, so we had a great, lazy lunch at Tangierine Cafe in the Morocco Pavilion in Epcot. For an exotic, secluded setting my wife and l like to eat at the Flame Tree BBQ at the Animal Kingdom. Their seating areas are in wonderfully landscaped, serene riverside pavilions that make you feel like you are deep in the Southeast Asian jungle. Write me back with some ideas of what she like food-wise and I can suggest a few other specific ideas.
    • Plan a 'girls night out' day. After a morning in a park, share a relaxing afternoon by the resort pool. Then plan for a late night in whatever park is open latest that day. Go on the thrill rides, snack on some counter foods, and enjoy a really rocking night out!
    • If a park night out doesn't sound ideal, maybe some Downtown Disney clubbing at Paradiso 37, Raglan Road, Bongos and House of Blues?
    Write me back with some info on what she likes, and I can suggest a few others!

    Have a magical vacation!
