My mom is taking me and my older sister on a trip to Disney World and I would really like do to something special for her while were there, and since she has MS I thought a SPA/me time would be perfect but I'm on a bit of a budget. Any thoughts?

Hi Jessica! That is such a sweet thought to plan something special for your mother and you during your Disney vacation.

Some of the spa treatments can be pricey but you could consider just booking a manicure or pedicure for the two of you. You can choose from the many salons on property. My daughter and I love to use Periwigs which is at the Yacht and Beach Club resorts. It is under renovation at the moment but will be open soon.

There are many wonderful dining opportunities that the two of you could enjoy. Take a half day and shop at Downtown Disney and end with lunch or dinner at one of the many great restaurants. Or stop for a sundae at Ghiradelli's!

Perhaps you can treat her to a portrait painting that is done at many of the resorts. Ask your concierge or front desk if an artist works out of the one you are staying in.

Your mom might enjoy a carriage ride in Fort Wilderness followed by the free campfire singalong and movie under the stars. Many families take advantage of having so many fun things to do in this peaceful resort. An evening at the "Fort" is truly unique.

Find a spot on the beach at the Polynesian and watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks followed by the Electric Water Pageant later on. Take bug spray just in case and just enjoy the feel of sand!

For a more active evening take your mom to the Boardwalk area where you can enjoy the street entertainment. End at Jellyrolls where you will enjoy the dueling pianos.

As you cans see there are many opportunities that are not expensive to have some great mom and me times!
