My mom n I r planning a surprise trip for my 9 yr old son 1st week of Oct. Trying to decide if Epcot is worth going to w/ the Food and Wine Festival going on. Going on a weekday, how bad will crowds be? Restaurants still offer reg menus? Need help!

    Hi Rose!

Visiting Epcot during the festivals is one of our favorite things to do during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation because we love all of the incredible food, and I'm sure the 2018 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will be full of scrumptious treats!

Because of the fantastic variety of food, I definitely think that it will be a great addition to your itinerary!  Plus, there are plenty of characters for your little one to meet throughout Epcot, and you can experience one of our favorite attractions, Frozen Ever After!  You and your little one can even enjoy exploring the countries in search of Remy in Remy's Ratatouille Hide 'n' Squeak Scavenger Hunt!

In my experience, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival does not get very crowded until later in the evening.  Of course, crowds are always changing, so your experience may differ, but I believe that it is best to visit earlier in the day if you are concerned about crowds.  Also, we love visiting the Global Marketplaces rather than dining at the restaurants because it allows us to experience more of the variety of unique foods!  That being said, if you would like to dine at one of the scrumptious restaurants, the regular menus will still be available!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
