Bright Suns, Alex.
I see you received the Resistance's secret transmission and followed its coordinates to us here at planDisney! I imagine your journey across the galaxy was a long one, so grab a glass of ice-cold Green Milk and relax while I offer some ancient Jedi wisdom on the mysteries of the ship-to-home service offered at
Walt Disney World Resort.
With the presence of the First Order looming around every corner on Batuu, it’s completely understandable you would want to mail your lightsaber home. After all, lightsabers are sacred to the Jedi, and we wouldn't want them to fall into the wrong hands. Thank the Maker, because most merchandise locations in the
four theme parks and
Disney Resort hotels allow you to ship items home for a fee. After you build your lightsaber, I suggest you hold onto it as you wander around
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and take advantage of the endless photo ops throughout Batuu. You have to get a nighttime shot of you with your lightsaber lit up in front of the Millennium Falcon!
Then, when you are ready to ship it home, head into one of the merchandise locations in Black Spire Outpost, such as
Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities, and ask a Batuuan villager (Cast Member) for assistance
shipping your lightsaber back to your home planet. All you need is your receipt of purchase, and they will walk you through the rest of the process. You can also ship your lightsaber home from the on-site merchandise location at your Disney Resort hotel at any point before you leave. My husband and I often end up doing this on the day we check out, because we ALWAYS buy too many souvenirs. It's such a fantastic service, and we've never had any issues utilizing it.
Did you know your smart device can become your
Star Wars: Datapad while you are on Batuu? Your Datapad allows you to interact with
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in new, exciting ways. You can translate galactic languages, hack into droids, decrypt communications, and more. All you have to do is download the
Play Disney Parks Mobile App and use the Force. Don’t forget, Rey will need your help on
a secret mission for the Resistance while you're there, so brush up on your piloting skills!
Alex, I hope you enjoy every moment of your
Star Wars adventure and first trip to Walt Disney World Resort. May the Force be with you!
Til the Spires,
Alyssa
