    Hey Sharon!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! In my opinion, you have picked the perfect time of year to visit Walt Disney World. Not only are the parks and resorts decorated for the holiday season, the crowd levels are relatively low.

You are going to love taking the resort "monorail tour". My family does this every time we visit. All of the resorts are decorated so beautifully especially Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa which includes a giant, ornately decorated gingerbread house.

You can begin your tour by parking in the Magic Kingdom parking lot then jumping onto the Resort Monorail which is absolutely handicap accessible. There are also elevators at each resort to take you down to the main level. The first stop will be Disney's Polynesian Resort followed by the Grand Floridian then Disney's Contemporary Resort. After the Contemporary jump back on the Resort Monorail and take it all the way around to the Magic Kingdom.

A quick note about Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party: Even though the posted time for the event is 7:00 p.m., I have found they will often allow ticket holders to enter the park as early as 4:00 p.m.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any other questions please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical Disney vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
