Joseph from WA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My mom passed a couple months ago and we as a family have been visiting Disneyland for years since I was 3 years old. I am aware ashes cannot be spread but is there something you have that we as a family can do,say a brick or star to remember her?

A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Joseph. I am sorry to hear about your mom and offer my condolences to you and your family. I love to hear that you would like to honor your mom and all of the wonderful memories you made together in such a special and magical place.

I love the idea that you would like to memorialize your mom at your special place and I think a paving stone or something similar is such a lovely idea. Unfortunately, this offering is no longer available and there isn't anything quite like that offering at this time. I wish I had better news to share with you. Like you, I would love to honor my sister who passed with a paving stone, as Disneyland was our special place.

I can share some of the things that we did to honor her during a visit shortly after her passing. We all wore her favorite color to the park and purchased a balloon of that same color and carried it around with us for the day. We made sure to ride her favorite rides and visit with her favorite characters. Her favorite princess was Snow White and we spent some reflection time at Snow White Grotto and each made a wish in the wishing well in her honor. There were many tears of sadness and even joy and some welcome reprieves of laughter too. We could definitely feel her presence throughout the day. At the end of the day, we gifted our balloon to another guest to pass on a little bit of joy.

While there is nothing at the moment like the personalized paving bricks, the parks are always changing and you never know when a new opportunity might pop up. I recommend keeping an eye on Disney Parks Blog for the latest and greatest news and updates. When it comes to your visit, take the time and space that you need throughout the day. While grief can be tough to navigate, memories of your mom will show up in her favorite rides and experiences you all shared throughout the parks. I hope that the day is somewhat healing and that your memories of her fill your heart and her presence is felt.

Joseph, while this might not be the answer you were expecting, I hope that what I shared is still helpful. Please come back to visit us if there's anything else that we can help with. Wishing you a peaceful visit honoring your beautiful mom.
