Hi Leila! So any birthday at Walt Disney World is a special one, but the first? That will be memorable for a lifetime! While it is easy to get wound up about paying extra for all sorts of special experiences, remember that just being there will be special in itself. That being said, there are a few great celebration ideas I can share; Get him a complimentary birthday Celebration button that is available at Guest services in any park, or at your Disney Resort hotel lobby. Cast members love to see these, and his face will light up with all the birthday wishes!Make sure for any dining reservation that you have noted that birthday celebration. In some cases there might be some fun pixie dust coming his way.Consider getting the Disney PhotoPass service. Let their professional photographers capture this trip, whether you are in the jungles of Adventureland or in the shadows of Cinderella Castle! They take more than just basic photos, as they also have some amazing photo enhancements and amazing Magic Shots. To help get through what can be an exhausting day, make sure to take advantage of the Baby Care Centers. The one at the Magic Kingdom is located between Casey's Corner and The Crystal Palace at the end of Main Street. They offer you a place and your son to relax, private nursing rooms, changing areas, and other resources to help you recharge. My final, and favorite recommendation is to get him his first haircut! What if he got his first ever haircut at the Magic Kingdom? At the Harmony Barber Shop you can either go with the basic haircut, or their "My First Haircut" for just a few dollars more that includes a commemorative Mickey Ears Hat, a lock of hair for you to save, and an official certificate. Do make sure you make a reservation at the site, as you will definitely want to make sure you don't miss out on the experience. Have a magical vacation!
