Hi there, Allie!
Welcome to planDisney and we appreciate you stopping by with your question! How considerate of you to be concerned for your mom during your time at the Parks. On a full Park day, I know that I've often logged nearly 10 or 11 miles by the end of the evening, so I totally understand the need for a place to rest your feet.
I was able to chat with a Cast Member and confirmed that this is absolutely allowed and it'll be nice to know that your mom will have a hotel room accessible close by. Just make sure that she has your room key or the
Disneyland Mobile App with your linked hotel reservation in order to use the
Unlock Door Feature. You will not incur an extra person fee just by having her nap in your room. Don't forget to have her put up that "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door!
Where will you be staying, Allie? Did you hear that the
Pixar Place Hotel just officially opened? The Grand Opening Ceremony looked like so much fun! And speaking of Pixar, you'll be visiting during
Pixar Fest! There will be specially themed parades, nighttime spectaculars, and treats for all Pixar fans. I also like to recommend the lobby of
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa as a nice place to kick up your feet if your mom is nearby and needs a rest. There's a quaint fireplace with super comfy lounge chairs and my kids love cozying up there with a cup of hot chocolate (maybe a nice soda instead since you'll be there in the summer).
Fun Fact: As you walk under the
marquee for Pixar Pier, take a moment to admire the animatronic Luxo Jr Lamp on top. Many Guests walk by without even noticing that it is an animatronic. It'll even turn to watch World of Color!
Allie, I hope that this was helpful for you as you plan your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth! If there is anything else we can assist with, please feel free to come by again. You're always welcome at planDisney!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
