Me and my mom are going to Disney next week, she made reservations for dinner at Epcot with her account, but we wanted to but the park tickets with mine, would this cuase a problem with the reservation?

Hello, Jacob, and thank you for allowing planDisney to help with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You'll arrive in a few days, so I hope your Mickey ears are packed. Let's talk about making plans with your mom so the two of you can have a magical visit.

My son and I began visiting the theme parks when he was a toddler, and now he's all grown up. And guess what? We have a Disney visit on the books in November, too! We love the nostalgia of eating hot dogs at Casey's Corner just as much as new experiences like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. I just know you and your mother will make fabulous memories together.

For a seamless planning experience, both of you will download the My Disney Experience mobile app and be sure you're linked as Family & Friends and sharing plans. This will ensure you can select one another for any dining reservations and allow you to purchase theme park tickets and assign one to your mom.

Dining reservations aren't connected to theme park tickets, so guests can make a reservation at any restaurant 60 days in advance. In order for you to see that dining reservation, your mom would need to select you from her Family & Friends list as a guest for that meal.

Once you purchase the theme park tickets, you should be able to tap the My Tickets & Passes tile on your mobile app and swipe to find the ticket you'd like to assign to your mom. Before you know it, you'll be scanning in and riding your first attraction!

If you need help setting up your account and mobile app, feel free to contact the My Disney Experience helpline. They can also walk you through the steps to connect with your mom. As long as you share plans through your accounts, you should be able to make plans for each other.

My son and I eat plant-based, so we plan to sample vegetarian items at the Global Marketplaces at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival on our upcoming trip. I'm going to make The Noodle Exchange my first stop. The Ramen with Tofu looks delectable!

Jacob, I'm wishing on a star that you and your mom have the best vacation ever. As a mother, I know how precious spending time together at the Most Magical Place on Earth can be. Please stop by planDisney with any other questions; I'd love to help in any way I can.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
