Hi mom and dads. Id like resort advice. I have knee issues. After all the walking done at theparks I dont want to have to walk miles to and from the food court and my room. Opinions on CBR AND POR&POFQ?

    Hi Amy,

Port Orleans French Quarter is the smallest of the moderate level resorts. It has gorgeous themeing and will have the shortest walks to the food court and common areas. However, regardless of where you stay, you're welcome to make a room request to be at one of the closer buildings. To get the scoop on how to do this, you many want to head over to the independent website blog.touringplans.com and search there for an article called "The Art of the Disney World Room Request."

You may also want to consider renting a wheelchair or ECV for your stay. You can get daily in-park rentals at any of the Disney theme parks. There are also a number of independent agencies that rent mobility equipment in the Disney area. They are typically less expensive than renting from Disney directly and usually will pick up and deliver to your resort. Some of the well-known companies can be found at walkermobility.com and buenavistascooters.com. Another advantage from renting from an outside company is that there equipment can be used anywhere, while Disney's rentals must stay at the parks.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
