    My mom said to ask you. I got an iPod for Christmas & want to get the Disney app for our trip. Is there WiFi in the parks & resorts (& rooms)? Do I need to have WiFi to use the Disney app in the parks & resorts? Thanks

    I LOVE tech gear. Congrats on your new iPod.

    There is now free WiFi in the Disney resort hotel rooms and the public areas of the hotels, like lobbies and restaurants. Yay! But unfortunately there is no WiFi access in the theme parks. In order to use the official Disney app in the parks for information on wait times, etc, you would need some sort of data access. Most people use the app on their phone. Depending on the type of phone you or your family members have, you may be able to use the app there. In addition to the official Disney app, there are dozens of apps from independent developers that can help you plan your trip. You may want to head over to the independent website stitchkingdom.com and search there for the app guide. Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
