Hello there, Robynn!
Welcome to planDisney. It looks like your park day is upon us, so I won't waste a magical minute answering your question!
As you know, all Guests are required to have both a
theme park ticket and a
theme park reservation to scan into the parks. It sounds like you have a theme park ticket and reservation under a particular Guest's name, but would like to modify the name on that ticket. I hope I have that right! If the theme park ticket is currently unused - either a One Park Per Day ticket or a multi-day ticket that has not yet been used to enter the parks - I have some good news for you. While the system asks that you assign a name to each ticket at the time of purchase, it is not technically assigned to a particular Guest until it is scanned through the Main Entrance Gates for the very first time. At this point, the system will snap a photo of the Guest, which will pop up each time the ticket is scanned, and the ticket officially belongs to that particular Guest. You do not need to modify the name on the ticket ahead of time, in this case. If you are referring to a multi-day ticket that has already been scanned, unfortunately, it cannot be reassigned to another Guest.
I'm hoping we've resolved this for you and you are on your way to enjoying a day in the magic! If you have any questions, I recommend reaching out to
Guest Services either via phone or once you arrive at the Main Entrance Esplanade before you head into the park. There is a Guest Relations window just to the left of the entrance to California Adventure. The Cast Members there will be able to see into your account to answer any specific questions you may have.
I'll keep this short and sweet in the hopes that it arrives on time for your visit today. Be sure to check out the
Entertainment Schedule, which is full of limited-time festive fun for the
holidays, from parades to fireworks to live music. If you plan on spending some time in the Downtown Disney District, my kids love to do the
Chip and Dale's Ornament Trail! It's a fun seek-and-find adventure throughout Downtown Disney that ends with...you guessed it, a cute keepsake ornament to take home. Maps and stickers can be purchased at most Disney-owned merchandise locations, like
World of Disney, or most of the resort hotels.
If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney!
Magic awaits,
Tara
