We have the moderate dining plan and have reserved sit down meals for dinner. We were thinking using the quick service for lunch, and sending grandpas off park to bring in breakfast. How far and what is the hassle to leave the park?

Hi, Kim!  The ease of leaving Walt Disney World property isn't much of a hassle at all, but really requires a car to do so.  There is a McDonald's just outside the Downtown Disney area, and there's a Starbucks just down the road.  You'll find other similar options, including grocery stores, within a couple of miles from the resort area, but it will likely require a rental car, your own car, or a taxi to get there.

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, you will have easy access to a food court type of dining option that will have reasonably priced breakfasts and quick options such as freshly cut fruit, pastries, and yogurt.  You will also have at least a small refrigerator in your room.  You may want to have a small delivery made from a place like Garden Grocer, where you can get some breakfast items.

There will also be a place at your resort to pick up a few items like cereal, boxed doughnuts, and other fast breakfast foods.

I hope you enjoy a wonderful vacation!
