Hi Bill! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
For many Guests, visiting the Walt Disney World Resort is centered around the four theme parks. However, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy during your stay, including golfing at one of the pristine courses on site.
Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is my favorite out of the bunch, mostly because of the challenging holes and beautiful scenery along the course.
One of the best aspects of playing a round is that you do not need to lug your clubs from home. With everything else you need to pack for your stay, bringing a full set of golf clubs can make the travel a bit difficult. Luckily, all of the Walt Disney World Golf Courses offer
rental sets to use during your round. Currently, each course offers the latest Taylor Made equipment, which a Cast Member confirmed to be either the Stealth 2 or the Qi10s. The putter will be included in the set and will also be a Taylor Made product. The exact model may vary depending on the set. Adidas golf shoes are also available to rent if were indeed packing light.
Bill, if you're looking for a few other options outside of the theme parks, you can try a
Guided Fishing Excursion. These take off at a variety of different marinas across the Walt Disney World Resort. No matter where you are staying on-site, you should have an option relatively close to you. They'll provide everything you need to have a successful trip, including an experienced guide to show you the way.
I hope this information helps you plan for your stay. Have a great time out on the course and make sure to give yourself a mulligan or two. You are on vacation after all!
See ya real soon!
Greg
