Do you have to use mobile ordering at Quick Service restaurant? For example, if times are blocked out for mobile ordering, can we still go up to the counter and order?

    Hello there, Matthew!

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for bringing your question to us!

I am the kind of person that plans my day around all the delectable delights I’ll be devouring. I just love the food at Walt Disney World Resort! If you’re going to be at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park at all, be sure to stop by Harambe Fruit Market (no Mobile Ordering required) and try their Grilled Corn on the Cob. You can get it seasoned with African Spices, and it is so delicious that, well, excuse me while I wipe my drool!

Matthew, although it is recommended you use the Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering service through your My Disney Experience Mobile app, some locations may understand your circumstances and allow you to visit the counter. This is completely at the discretion of the Walt Disney World Resort restaurant, so you would have to visit a Cast Member attending the location to ask. In my experience, Cast Members have been wonderfully accommodating where they can, so it never hurts to ask nicely.

Speaking of delicious food, I really like to make Advanced Dining Reservations at the theme park that my family is visiting during lunchtime. This way, my family feels a reprieve from the Florida heat, and we get delicious food! It’s a win/win!

Another reminder before I let you go: be sure you’ve made your Disney Park Pass reservations. These are required, along with your tickets, to enter the theme parks.

I hope you have an enchanting time, Matthew!
