I will be 6 mo pregnant while at disney 10/26-11/01. I also have a 2 yr. old. What parks do you recommend for each of us, since there will be many rides that I can't ride? We planned on doing mk at least 2 days and hs. Any other suggestions?

    Hi Casey,

Congratulations on your upcoming addition. I have traveled to Disney World while pregnant with all three of my boys. You will be amazed how many things there are for both you and your toddler to enjoy.

Many of the attractions are slow moving vehicles that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities. There are a only a small number of attractions that have height requirements or warnings for expectant mothers. There is also a variety of stage shows, exhibits, parades and movies that can be enjoyed by all.

Magic Kingdom is a great choice as there are so many slow, friendly options for both of you.  Your toddler will love Fantasyland and ToonTown plus the chance to meet Mickey and his pals. Hollywood Studios offers a great selection of stage shows that require no ride movement and feature Disney characters like Ariel, Belle, the Muppets and the Playhouse Disney gang. Be sure to stop back by the Animation Studio for a hands on class that teaches the whole family how to draw their own Disney pal. It is one of our favorite hidden stops.

I would plan on spending at least one day at Epcot. There are some fun interactive play areas in Innoventions East and West as well as after a number of the attractions. The World Showcase is a great place to wander and enjoy the cultures around the world and your toddler can stop by the Kidstop in each country to create a take home mask keepsake. My kids love this! You will find the majority of attractions at Animal Kingdom are not made for expectant moms or toddlers, but you can still enjoy ne,o the Musical, Festival of the Lion King, Flights of Wonder and It's Tough to Be a Bug. All of these are stage shows or movies and do not involve any rides. You will also find plenty of trails and areas to wander and enjoy the animals.

Just remember that both you and your toddler need to take plenty of breaks from the heat and sun, and drink lots of water. Wishing you a magical time!
