We will be going to MNSSHP for the first time (usually visit MVMCP), excited! In UK, we don't "do" Halloween so much, so what it the etiquette? DD (5) will be dressed up, do hubby and I too? If so, what sort of things go? Thinking Jack and Sally

    Vicki,

You will find that many adults are also dressed up for the party. But many are not as well. It is really just what makes you feel comfortable that matters.

When my wife and I have taken our girls (and we had a great time, FYI!), the girls were dressed up, but we were not. And we felt just fine not being so. The experience was all about them, so no worries. But this year I am going with many of my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panel members, so I think I will do something. Not sure what yet, so I am taking suggestions!

What you will see is that the outfits for both adults and kids alike range in effort and theme. In all cases, it is really about whatever makes everyone in your family feel comfortable. Also take into consideration the logistics of lugging costume items around during the day if you are not returning to your resort just before the party. And also plan costumes that account for the possibility of both cold or warm evenings. Layers in a costume help you manage temperatures accordingly.

But Jack and Sally costumes would be pretty cool! I would go for that, if you could!

Have a magical (and spooky!) vacation!
