Going to MK tomorrow night to see the parade - about how long is the parade and where is the best view. Would like to see fireworks from contemporary and not sure we would get there in time to see fireworks at 9pm?

There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day! And for you, Elizabeth, your beautiful tomorrow includes shining -and- Starlight!

On November 4, Disney Starlight will illuminate the Magic Kingdom at 8:00 and 10:00 p.m. I have a few tips that may help you plan your nighttime spectacular viewing. The parade starts on Main Street, U.S.A. and ends in Frontierland and lasts approximately 10-12 minutes.

If you want to watch the parade first, a spot on Main Street, U.S.A. is your best bet. Guests start gathering along the curb and around the Main Street Town Center early. The parade route follows from Main Street toward Frontierland, so if you find a spot at the hub area in front of Cinderella Castle, your best views will be facing the Adventureland and Frontierland side.

I prefer the 10:00 p.m. parade with the lighter crowds. I have seen it a few times from Frontierland and was able to find an unobstructed view easily. I checked the pictures on my iPhone, and the last float passed by me (near the Liberty Tree Tavern) at 10:40 p.m. The best spot (and let's keep this between us) is the planter near McKim's Mile House, so you can sit while waiting for the Blue Fairy to welcome you to dream the night away. If you were to watch the Happily Ever After fireworks before the parade, this could work well for you. When you re-enter the park, head toward Tomorrowland and pass through the backside of Fantasyland on your way to Frontierland. It's a longer route around, but it avoids the parade crowds and moves quickly.

A third option would be to grab a great spot for the parade in front of Cinderella Castle and stay put for the fireworks. You can mobile order popcorn from the Main Street Confectionery and enjoy a treat while waiting. The menu has just been updated with the Holiday Peppermint Popcorn mix. I tried this last year and have been awaiting its return. Yum!
