Hi I'm planning my vacation for December & will be at WDW 2 or 3 days (December 28 - January 1). I'm having trouble finding Fantasmic dining reservations & parade info for these days. Also, r there special NYE or NYD events or activities?

    Welcome to planDisney, Susan!

We are so happy to hear from you. I’m very excited to hear that you will be visiting Walt Disney World during the most magical time of the year! The resort will be in its holiday best, all dressed up in twinkling lights and holiday traditions during your visit. I just love visiting during this time!

My husband enjoyed his first holiday season at Walt Disney World a few years ago and, since then, has been anxiously awaiting a return to the holiday magic. Hopefully, next year will be our year. I'm also hoping to squeeze in a visit to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party next year, too.  Big plans for the New Year, that's for sure.

Susan, I just checked the events calendar, and it seems to be available now through January 1, 2026. So if you head back over, you should now see a time for Fantasmic! and Happily Ever After. Please keep in mind, these events are subject to change. When it comes to reserving Fantasmic! Dining Packages, I recommend checking frequently for availability, as it is often changing. Availability will also change depending on the date and your party size. Again, checking throughout the days leading up to your visit is going to be the best way to secure a reservation.

If you are unable to book a dining package, Hakuna Matata, just head over to the show a little earlier so that you have the chance to select your ideal standard seating spot. My family has enjoyed Fantasmic! with and without a dining package, and both resulted in the same beautiful show! Honestly, any seat in that stadium provides a great view, but we did love having that priority seating with the dining package.

As we get closer to the New Year, I recommend checking the Disney Parks Blog for any news or updates regarding New Year celebrations. I also recommend checking the events board at your resort once you arrive. Those event boards include resort-specific events with times. So there should be something fun listed on them to help you ring in the New Year!

I hope this has helped answer your question, Susan! Have the most magical visit yet, and if there’s anything else we can help with, please let us know!

    The Magic Awaits,

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
