Hello! I am going to MK for New Years Eve this year qith my family and I wanna know if we have to purchase an additional ticket to stay until midnight or if we onlt need our regular admission ticket for the day, thank you!

Hello there, Mirella! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for stopping by and allowing us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

The holidays are such a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World Resort! Many areas throughout the parks and resorts undergo a festive transformation and receive a holiday makeover! There are also many special events such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the gorgeous Candlelight Processional at Epcot, and so much more. You and your family are certainly in for a vacation filled with frozen fun!

You will also be happy to hear that you are not required to purchase a separate ticket to experience New Year’s Eve at Magic Kingdom! Guests with general park admission are free to experience all of the celebration specials that happen throughout the evening and beyond.

There will be extra special dance parties where you and your family can dance the night away. In addition, the annual fireworks extravaganza, “Fantasy in the Sky”, will be there to help count down to the New Year! This is not a nighttime spectacular you want to miss!

I would recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any updates on events taking place on New Year’s Eve at Magic Kingdom. This is the best place for any breaking news regarding the Disney Parks!

Have a blast planning out the rest of your end-of-the-year vacation!
