Hi, Christina! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for sending us this magical question! At the end of a day in The Most Magical Place on Earth, I love to sit in front of Cinderella Castle and await the Kiss Goodnight. It is such a pixie dusted way to end the day! As the announcer says, "The Magic Kingdom is a place for the young and the young at heart. A special place where when you wish upon a star, your dreams can come true."
The Kiss Goodnight usually begins about 30 minutes after Magic Kingdom Park closes for the evening. It includes a short message and Cinderella Castle then glows and twinkles to "kiss" everyone goodnight. This show repeats a couple of times as the remaining guests depart. While it usually is planned to occur every night, it normally is not shown on special event night, such as during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. If you have a free evening during your trip, then you may want to stop by when the party is not scheduled so you can experience this sweet moment!
Tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party were just released, so be sure to order yours soon. This is a very popular party and it frequently sells out during the season! I attended last year's party with some of my fellow panelists and we had quite a joyous evening together. Be sure to stop by the Christmas trees at the front of the park and have a
Disney PhotoPass Cast Member take some pictures for you. I won't spoil the surprise, but they have the thingamabob that does the job of making extra magical shots for families!
Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions and you continue to plan your very merry adventures.
