How do I get from MK to Downtown and back for dinner reservastions? Can I simply take the monorail to eat and then back to MK, or do i have to take my car?

    Hi Amy,

The monorail does not run between the Magic Kingdom and Downtown Disney. Actually, there is no direct free transportation between any of the theme parks and Downtown Disney. To use Disney transport, you could walk, or take the monorail, from the Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary resort. At the Contemporary, you can grab a bus to Downtown Disney.

This is not overly difficult, but you have access to a car, it's probably faster to take it rather than using the Disney transportation - that way you'll be able to avoid waiting for a bus.

Good luck with your planning and enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World.
