Welcome to planDisney, Lory! Thanks for this question. As a fellow
Magic Key holder, I am happy to help!
As you know, when you are unable to enter either park on the day you have an existing theme park reservation, it will be counted as a “no-show.” After accruing three “no-shows” within 90 days, you will be unable to make a new theme park reservation for 30 days. To see how many “no-shows” you currently have, head to the
“Theme Park Reservations” page, either via the Disneyland website or the
Disneyland App. On that page, click the “Reserve” button for Magic Key Holders. This will bring you to a
screen that will show you your Magic Key, along with any others that may be linked to your account, and how many “no-shows” each Key currently has.
One thing to keep in mind when reviewing the number of “no-shows” you may have is that the 90-day window used to track “no-shows” is continuously rolling. That means that if you receive a “no-show” while in the 30-day theme park reservation restriction period, and you already have had two within the last 90 days, the 30-day restriction period can reset. “No-shows” remain tied to your account for a full 90 days before they roll off automatically.
Thankfully, if you make a theme park reservation and are unable to visit on that day, you can cancel or reschedule your reservation to avoid receiving a “no-show.” As long as the reservation has been canceled by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time the day before, it will not become a “no-show.” I typically set a calendar reminder as soon as I book my park reservation just in case I need to cancel or reschedule. That step has saved me from a few accidental no-shows over the years.
Lory, I hope this information has helped you as you plan for your next visit to the Disneyland Resort. If you have any additional questions or would like tips on how to spend your park day, please visit us here again at planDisney!
Enjoy your next visit,
David
