Why hello there Nicole and welcome to planDisney!
It's so fortunate that you've come to us about this question, since I just so happen to be at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter having just completed a bit of research here to
answer a question from a fellow Disney fan from across the pond! If there's anywhere especially full of enticing smells, it's definitely here from the cottony, floral and citrus-scented lobby to the fried, sugary goodness that emanates from the nearby
Scat Cat's Club beignets being served hot and ready.
I asked the Cast Members working in the lobby and they actually pointed me to a planDisney answer from my friend Lauren that described the scent as having "notes of freesia, cotton blossom, and citrus to transport Guests to the Bayou." She recommended a visit to Bowes Signature Candles which is located just a boat ride away where I've personally purchased diffuser oils and wax melts at Disney Springs that really transport you back to the Disney Resort Hotels. (I think the scents currently named "Far Away" and "Clover World" come rather close, though the latter reminds me much more of locations like Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.)
If you do a little searching around online, there are other companies who do their best to replicate the smells of Walt Disney World Resort and I've actually come across one myself that does quite a good job of capturing the familiar feel of what it's like to be sitting in Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter lobby. (Here's hoping you can even take advantage of international shipping so that you can relive the Resort Hotel experience without needing to cross the Atlantic!) When you do come around for your next visit, I recommend keeping an eye for some conspicuously rectangular devices plugged into the walls which are the special automatic diffusers found across these iconically-scented locations! Come back to planDisney for any other tips, advice or even to let us know if you've found a close match for that particular smell - because after all, the nose knows!
Wishing you all the best on your quest for the scent you seek!
