Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside transports Guests to rural Louisiana in the 1800s. Half of the Resort hotel, Magnolia Bend, is characterized by stately mansions and pristine landscaping, while the other half, Alligator Bayou, is comprised of charming country cottages in the mossy backwoods. Kaleb, surprisingly, scent plays an important role in the storytelling of each
Disney Resort hotel. The scent used inside the Sassagoula Steamboat Company (lobby) at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside blends notes of freesia, cotton blossom, and citrus to transport Guests to the Bayou.
Kaleb, while you won't find Disney Resort hotel-specific scented items available for purchase, a quick internet search will reveal candles, wax melts, and diffusers that mimic the scents used throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. I've purchased a couple of my personal favorites at
Bowes Signature Candles at the Marketplace Co-Op at
Disney Springs! (This brand is also available for purchase online.) Another option would be to create your own candle at
Basin, also located at Disney Springs. Here, you could blend the scents I mentioned above to evoke memories of your stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside! Even if you decide not to create a candle, be sure to stop into the store just for the amazing smells alone.
