Can you be 10 minutes late to a dining reservation and still be accommodated?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jennifer!

Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation begins tomorrow!  Will you be too excited to sleep tonight??

Enjoying some of the unique and delicious dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite parts of my vacation.  I'll admit, although I try to arrive about 10-15 minutes prior to my reservation time to check-in, I have been a few minutes late from time to time.  In my experience, if a Guest is just a few minutes late, as long as they do have a dining reservation they can usually be seated, sometimes with a bit longer of a wait.  Whether or not late arrivals can be accommodated will largely depend upon the discretion of the restaurant staff and just how busy the dining location might be at the time you arrive.

If you have another activity planned that you think may delay your arrival, I suggest trying to adjust your reservation time.  Dining reservations may be modified using the My Disney Experience mobile app (subject to availability).  If you don't find a time that works better for you, keep trying.  Other Guests' plans change all the time and you never know when availability will open up.  For same-day modifications or cancellations, call the dining line at 407-WDW-DINE.

Jennifer, I am wishing you and your family a wonderful vacation!  Please let us know if we can assist you with any other questions.
