Hi Tammy! Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
As the planner in my family, everyone relies on me to let them know what our plans are. No one in my family (not even my husband!) has their own
My Disney Experience account, even though my "children" are all teens and older. I have created profiles for each family member in "My Family & Friends List". They are happy to let Mom do the planning (with their input, of course) and let them know what we are doing next. Since we are all together for the most part during our trips, this works out fine for us to plan as a family unit. At times I will text them screenshots of our plans, or if they would like access to some of the features of the
My Disney Experience mobile app such as wait times or maps, I give them permission to log in to my account on their devices. I was just having a conversation about this with some of my Moms Panel friends. Not surprisingly, they are the primary planners in their families too, and manage plans for their family members in one account.
If you would like your children to create their own accounts, you can do that too. Some families prefer for each member to have their own My Disney Experience account and connect in Family & Friends. Please note that Guests must be at least 13 years of age to create a Disney account. If your children are younger than 13, you will need to manage their profiles in your account. If you have teens who will create their own accounts, you will need to
invite them to connect with you so your plans can be shared. My family will need to do this at some point down the road as well; eventually my kids will want to be able to make and manage their own plans.
I hope that helps! Please visit the Moms Panel again if you have additional questions.
Enjoy your vacation!
Anne Marie
