Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michael!
In 2017, Walt Disney World Resort introduced the
Minnie Van Service, which works in conjunction with the Lyft app, and it has turned out to be one the Resort's cutest (and easiest) ways to get around property. The red and white polka dotted Chevy Traverses can seat six passengers, and they come with two Graco 4Ever car seats, at no extra charge. Accessible Minnie Vans are for Guests who are traveling with a wheelchair or ECV scooter. You'll need to request one by calling (407) 828-3500. Requests for accessible Minnie Vans can be made 45-60 minutes ahead of time; however, because of the limited availability, an additional wait time may occur.
Although Minnie Vans are a splurge, they are a terrific way to add a little dose of extra magic to your trip, especially when you want to get somewhere in a jiffy. One of my favorite times to use it is when going to
Magic Kingdom Park, where Minnie Vans drop you off right in front of the gates (traditional ride-sharing services have to drop off at the Transportation and Ticket Center). I've also used the Minnie Vans to get from my Walt Disney World Resort hotel to
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park for "rope-drop" at the Park's opening, which allowed us to have a much more relaxing morning.
Enjoy traveling in style during your trip this summer, Michael!
