Hi Gregory,
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about the new
Minnie Van Service. Minnie Vans are definitely a convenient and stylish way to travel around the Walt Disney World Resort!
Your family sounds just like mine with two adults and five Mouseketeers. Hooray for large families! Unfortunately, the maximum number of Guests that a Minnie Van can seat is six, so our families, just like the Seven Dwarfs, won't fit in just one Minnie Van. You are free to use two Minnie Vans, although you would need to pay the fee, which is currently $25, twice. In case you decide to do this, I wanted to let you know that you'll find two versatile car seats in each one. My family usually relies on the complimentary
resort transportation, which includes all of the buses, boats, and monorails, to travel around the most magical place on earth. Being that we're a homeschool family, my kids all really enjoy the chance to ride a bus, my youngest son absolutely adores the monorail (so that's a must-do on each one of our Disney vacations!), and I, personally, LOVE the chance to enjoy a peaceful boat ride. I hope that however you choose to get around, you have a BLAST!
I just have one other (
completely unrelated) large family tip for you. Do you know about the refillable popcorn buckets? Once you purchase the bucket, it can be refilled at any of the four theme parks for the entire length of your stay for just a small (less than $2!) fee. Disney popcorn is scrumptious anyways, but at such a great value for a large family snack, I just HAD to share!
Please let us know if you have any other questions as you're preparing for your trip, Gregory. I hope that you and your whole crew have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
