Are mini tripods or gimbals that do not extend allowed in the parks? I am trying to look into some specifically for my iPhone and don’t want to be turned away.

Hi there, Zach! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

As a self-described Walt Disney World super-fan, I absolutely love an amazing picture of Cinderella Castle at sunset, and it would be near impossible to get those great shots without the use of some sort of tripod.

According to the official Property Rules, Tripods or Monopods that can not fit into a standard-sized backpack or that extend to over 6 feet tall are not allowed. Zach, this means that you should be fine with your mini tripod for your iPhone.

If you want to be in front of the camera, instead of behind it, make sure to check out Memory Maker! An official PhotoPass Photographer will stage you in front of some stunning locations. You can then download all of your photos on your My Disney Experience Account. As an awesome bonus, Memory Maker also includes available ride photos!

I hope you get some great pictures, Zach! Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help as you plan your Instagram-worthy vacation!
