Do the mini fridges in the standard rooms at the Disney Polynesian Resort have a “mini freezer”?

Aloha Barbara! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Being able to store food and drinks in the room is one of the most convenient aspects of Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms. It’s fantastic not to have to leave your room for a snack!

The standard rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort come equipped with hairdryer, in-room safe, coffee maker and mini-refrigerator amongst other things. Unfortunately, most of the refrigerators do not have a mini-freezer included. If you do get a mini-fridge with a freezer, keep in mind that it is quite small. A few years ago, we were lucky enough to get a mini-freezer in our fridge, and it was just big enough to fit a few juice boxes!

If you need to freeze something specific, such as medication, please contact your Lobby Concierge. They will be more than willing to help store your items. They also are incredibly helpful with Park Information (including Extra Magic Hours) and making dining reservations.

Speaking of dining outside of your room, make sure to hang loose with Lilo and Stitch during breakfast at ‘Ohana. The pineapple compote served on top of the Hawaiian-style ham is one of my favorite “jam-like” concoctions, and the Pineapple-Coconut Breakfast Bread keeps us returning time after time!

Barbara, if you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask!
