Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Caroline! When I read your question, I immediately pictured Donald Duck in bowling shoes, wagging his tail feathers in true Donald fashion. But after some research, I have some information to share about Feather Bowling at
Splitsville. So I'll share it now since there's no time to "spare!"
I spoke with a fine-feathered Cast Member who said Feather Bowling is available on a first-come basis on the upper level at Splitsville. You do not need a reservation to play, nor do you need any special equipment or shoes. There is one Feather Bowling table in the same area as the Billiard Tables, and you are welcome to order appetizers and drinks to enjoy while you play. The Cast Member added that the wait to play Feather Bowling is typically short, but that depends on how busy they are.
I researched and discovered that Feather Bowling originated in Belgium, where it is played on the ground on a much longer lane. The setup at Splitsville is a mini-version but follows the same rules of play. What a unique activity! I must try this on my next
Walt Disney World Resort visit. The Cast Member said there is no age minimum to play, so as long as children can reach the table and are supervised by an adult, they can play, too.
If you'd like to have a meal at Splitsville, you can
make a dining reservation in advance. I can personally vouch for the
Veggie Pizza there. It was a perfect strike!
Caroline, I hope you don't have to stomp your foot and say, "Oh, Phooey!" like our friend Donald Duck the next time you're at Splitsville. And I can't wait to see who wins the game! So please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
