Hello, This is mine and my boyfriends first time going to Disney since we were kids. (I'm pretty excited!) We purchased tickets to MVMCP and we were wondering about the party: What are the hours, what is there to do, best place to dine in Mag.King.? THANKS

    Hey Samantha!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! Thank you so much for bringing us your questions.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) is my absolutely favorite special event at Walt Disney World. There is really nothing like walking down Main Street, U.S.A. with snow falling overhead as the smell of Snickerdoodles resonates throughout the Magic Kingdom.

The hours for the party are 7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. However, you should be able to enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m. While I don't recommend taking up your party time by stopping to eat dinner, I do suggest arriving before the official start time and eating around 5:00 p.m. My family really enjoys Liberty Tree Tavern in Liberty Square which feature a traditional holiday menu served family-style.

After dinner you will be free to enjoy the attractions, Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Time Parade and Holiday Wishes. Don't forget to stop at the entrance and pick up a special MVMCP park map which will show you the locations for special party treats.

For those attending MVMCP for the first time, the Disney Parks Blog did a great post featuring tips for first time guests. These tips should definitely help you plan a magical night. If you have any other questions about MVMCP or any other aspects of your Walt Disney World vacation please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical Disney holiday and a pixie-dusted day!
