    I have a million questions.... We have reservations at Saratoga Springs in May, my father is a DVC member, he put us on the "waiting list" for the BCV and BWV we really wanted to stay there. What do you kno about the wait lists? Do we stand a c

    Hi! I am a DVC member staying on points at WDW right now.

    Our home base is the Villas at Wilderness Lodge (which I LOVE) but the kids prefer the pool at the Beach Club. To make the kids happy, that's where we usually try to stay. (I get good mom-points all year from this one.)  Since we are traveling during a busy time of the year, we made our reservations at the VWL 11 months in advance. But as soon as we were able to under DVC rules, we requested a switch to the BC villas. They were not available, so we asked to be put on the wait list. And sure enough, a few months later, there became availability at the BCV. We were pulled off the wait list and given at room at the BCV, and that's where I'm writing to you now. We have had this exact same scenario three times and twice we were able to get off the wait list.

    The chance of you getting off your wait list depends on two things. First is the time of year you are traveling. The busier the time, the more people will be on wait lists in general. And second, how early did you put in your wait list request.  There is no way for me to predict whether you will be able to get off the wait list. But as you can see, it has happened to us.

    Even if you don't get off the wait list, don't worry. i have stayed at Saratoga Springs too. The rooms there are very nice. I had a very peaceful view of the golf course on my last stay there.
