Hi, Glacier, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
In order to qualify for the
Military Promotional Tickets at
Walt Disney World Resort, you just need to have a valid U.S. Military ID with photo. As a veteran, this will probably be a DD Form 2 or a DD Form 2765. A DD Form 1173 Military photo ID (issued to military members' dependents) is also acceptable.
If you do not have one of these forms of Military ID (but have a DD Form 214 indicating an honorable discharge), you may still be entitled to stay at
Shades of Green during January and/or September as a part of their
Salute to Our Veterans Program. Shades of Green is a hotel located on Walt Disney World Resort that is reserved for the use of members of the U.S. Military and their families, and it’s a wonderful option for those who are eligible to stay there. My family and I love it!
If you do have one of the valid U.S. Military IDs mentioned above, you may also qualify for
discounted stays on select nights at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Additionally, you may be able to purchase a specially-priced
Memory Maker, too!
If you have any further questions about Military discounts and benefits, you can check out the
Help Center on the Walt Disney World Resort website, call the
Shades of Green ticket office or contact your local military base’s MWR or ITT ticket office.
Please feel free to let us know if we can help with any other questions you may have about planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Glacier! We’d be happy to help.
