Do Military Veterans get a discount at Disneyland?

    Hi there, James!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for your service! I am glad you sent your question to us.

I have good news! Specially-priced theme park tickets and promotional rates at Disneyland Resort hotels are currently available for eligible United States military members and their spouses. At this time, a 3-day or 4-day Disney Military Promotional Park Hopper Ticket is available on most days through December 13, 2024. It looks like you want to visit on Christmas, which is a very popular day at Disneyland Resort. Many promotional tickets are not available during the holidays, so you may need to purchase a standard park ticket from your local military base and make park reservations to visit then. In addition, eligible military members can access promotional rates at the Disneyland Resort hotels on select nights through December 13, 2024.

Active and retired military members can currently purchase up to six theme park tickets (including one for themself) if they served in one of the U.S. military branches. This also includes the National Guard, Reservists, the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Space Force, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service, and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Military tickets are available for purchase at participating U.S. military base ticket offices. My planDisney pal Carrie mentioned that L.A. Air Force Base, March Air Reserve Base, and Camp Pendleton are the closest bases to Disneyland Resort, although you may be able to purchase tickets closer to your home in Texas.

I suggest buying your park tickets and making park reservations now for a visit during the holidays, as park reservations may become unavailable during that time. I also recommend arriving at the theme parks early if you plan to visit on Christmas. Make sure to watch A Christmas Fantasy Parade, ride Haunted Mansion Holiday (which uses a virtual queue at this time), and pre-order your lunch and dinner in the morning on the Disneyland mobile app to ensure your preferred time is available.

James, thanks again for reaching out to planDisney. We hope to see you real soon!

    Happy holidays!
    Jen
