Will military salute passes require park reservations after January 9, 2024?

Hey there, Christina. Welcome back to planDisney!

It looks like you have a springtime visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth on your calendar and I couldn't be more excited for you! Spring is my favorite season to visit and I'm absolutely twitterpated thinking about all of the thrilling attractions and seasonal sweets you'll be able to enjoy. And as a military spouse, I certainly appreciate the way that Walt Disney World Resort honors its military service members and their families, especially with the Disney Military Salute Tickets

Christina, I reached out to a Cast Member to ask this very same question! We know that starting on January 9, 2024, date-based tickets will no longer require theme park reservations. Typically, these are the standard theme park tickets that you can purchase. With that being said, Disney Military Salute Tickets are not date-based, so the Cast Member let me know that she expects these tickets to still require theme park reservations (at the time of this writing). However, these details continue to shift and adjust as time goes on! She also let me know that we should receive much more detailed information based on tickets and theme park reservation requirements once January 9, 2024, gets closer. My best tip would be to plan to make theme park reservations, but keep a close eye on the theme park reservations page, as well as the Disney Parks Blog! This is my favorite way to stay up-to-date on everything I can expect on my upcoming visits.

While Disney Military Salute tickets are available to purchase for trips taken in 2023, Disney Military Salute tickets for 2024 have yet to be released! From my experience, this promotion typically gets released in late fall for the following year. Once you receive your military tickets (either from Morale, Welfare, and Recreation at your local base or ordered through Shades of Green), you'll still want to make sure that these tickets get linked to your My Disney Experience account. This is an important step to make sure all of the Guests in your travel party are linked to their tickets!

I hope I was able to point you in the right direction today, Christina! If you have any other questions, please write to us again. We're happy to help!

You've got a friend in me,
