    Where do military retirees get tickets?

    Hi Beautina! Thank you for visiting planDisney, and for your question!

    From all of us at planDisney, thank you for your family's service! Military retirees qualify for two theme park ticket types to Walt Disney World Resort. Both ticket types can be purchased at your local military base in the ITT/MWR office, or from Shades of Green Resort. It's important to note that both ticket types also require theme park pass reservations. Here is a breakdown of both tickets:

    • Disney Military Salute Tickets: These tickets are sold as 4, 5, or 6-day passes. You can purchase them with Park Hopper, or Park Hopper Plus (which gives you access to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park). You will receive a paper receipt and an email copy from the travel agent. The Disney Reservation # listed on the receipt will be what you use to link your tickets on your MyDisney account, and the My Disney Experience Mobile app. Keep the email and receipt on hand, you will need this and your military ID to "activate" your tickets when you arrive. Stop by Guest Relations at your first theme park to activate your tickets. It's important to note that no more than six Salute tickets can be purchased every year.
    • Magic Your Way tickets: These tickets are regular theme park tickets, sold at a slight discount. You have the option of purchasing base tickets, Park Hopper, or Park Hopper Plus. These tickets do not have an amount limit, and they are already "active", meaning you don't have to visit Guest Relations.
