Can a military person purchase tickets for family if he can not go because he is getting deployed?

Hi, Stacie! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Walt Disney World Resort's 4-day and 5- day Military Promotional Tickets allow active and retired members of the U.S. Military to purchase up to six specially-priced tickets for the service member and his or her family for use between January 1 and December 19, 2019. These tickets can be purchased at your local military base's MWR/ITT office or through Shades of Green, a Walt Disney World resort dedicated for use by U.S. military members and their families. One of the six tickets must be used by the qualifying service member or his/her spouse, and the member or spouse must show Military ID to activate the tickets upon arrival. If the service member or his/ her spouse is unable to present a valid U.S. Military ID, the tickets cannot be activated. The only exception we've found to this policy is if the military service member is already a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder.

If you can schedule your Walt Disney World Resort vacation before or after the service member's deployment, you would be able to use this benefit for family members. Additionally, you may be eligible for discounted stays at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels and may qualify for a discounted Memory Maker, too. Details about the Military Promotional Ticket Offer and the specially priced Memory Maker can be found on the Walt Disney World Resort website.

Please let us know how else we can help, Stacie. We hope to see you real soon!
