I am a military member using military tickets and planning a trip to WDW in September 2013 at POR Riverside . I know I can get a room discount and that I can add the Dining Plan to this as an option. Can I get free dining if this becomes available or not?

    Hi Erik!

Congratulations on planning your Walt Disney World vacation!  Disney's Port Orleans Riverside is one of my favorite resorts!  Replete with southern charm, beautiful landscaping and a fantastic food court, it is definitely a must-stay for my family and I!

Military discount operate much like standard Disney special offers.  If you have booked a room discount, and a free dining offer is released, you cannot add that to your reservation.  You would need to choose between the room discount and the FD offer, but both cannot be applied together.  Also keep in mind that if you choose the FD discount, there is a minimum 2 day base ticket purchase required.  You would need to pay full guest pricing for the tickets, as Military Discount would not apply, so you would need to factor in those increased prices.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
