Hi Alyssa!
Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm glad to let you know that September is actually one of my favorite months to visit Walt Disney World! In my experience you still get the Florida sun without the summer intensity and the crowds usually seem to be very manageable.
I'm glad to let you know that there are military discounted tickets available for
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but they are only available on certain dates. Luckily, the entire month of September is eligible so this should work well for you! You have two different options to purchase these tickets. The first is to wait until you arrive at Walt Disney World and these tickets can be purchased in person with a proper military ID at any ticket or Guest Relations location. You can also purchase them in person at the
Shades of Green ticket office. The only risk with this is that the date may sell out prior to your arrival, but September does seem to be significantly less crowded than October.
Your other option is to purchase them ahead of time from Shades of Green directly, but for this there will be a shipping fee. You can either call them at 407-824-1403 or contact them through the
Contact Form on their website. You'll want to provide your name, phone number, email and that you are interested in purchasing discounted military Mickey Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets. They will provided you with the further steps necessary to validate your military status and purchase them!
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
