Hi Sheena!
I can completely relate to your need to bring some of your own food due to dietary restrictions. I also have a few dietary restrictions, so I like to have a few fail-safe food options in my room at my Walt Disney World Resort Hotel.
The Riverside Mill Food Court at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside does have both microwaves and toasters for Guests to use. While there is not a microwave or toaster in the room, you can feel free to use these appliances in the food court during operating hours, which are 7am to 11pm. You will also find a plethora of options for food that may fit your dietary needs. I also want to note that the 1, 2, and 3 bedroom
Deluxe Villas have both a toaster and microwave in the room. These rooms are also set up with a complete kitchenette with dishes, glasses, utensils, a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, oven, pots, and pans.
I also encourage you to check out the
Disney Special Diets page for more information on navigating the dining options at Disney with dietary restrictions. I find this site to be extremely helpful, as it goes into detail about how to make special dietary requests when dining at the parks and resorts. You can also email Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com with any specific questions about food allergies or special dietary needs requests.
I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
