Hello again, Sandy, and welcome back to planDisney!

It's so nice to hear from you again and I'm thrilled to see that you're planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort! And you'll be traveling in style because Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is Disney's flagship Resort for the West Coast Parks. It would be my pleasure to assist you today.

I spoke to a Cast Member at the Grand Californian and they informed me that in room microwaves are provided only for medical purposes. However, there are communal microwaves available in the Vending and Ice Machine Rooms, primarily in the 100s and 200s hallways. If you mention this at check-in, they would be happy to point out microwave access on the Resort map to you! I'm glad that you'll have more dining options available. The Downtown Disney District is literally steps away and there are lots of exciting changes coming very soon! I don't think you'll lack for dining options at all!

Are you a Star Wars fan, Sandy? The Disney Parks Blog just released more details about special offerings during Season of the Force, which will be going on during your visit! I'm particularly excited about "Fire of the Rising Moons." I mean, fireworks combined with John Williams' stirring music?! That will be such an epic show!
